Flush water heaters at least once a year. Connect a garden hose to the hose faucet located at the bottom of the water heater, turn on the water and let it run until no more visible sediment is discharging. |

Using garbage disposals in moderation can save you from having a sink stoppage. Always flush with plenty of water any food debris you put in the disposal. Clean your disposal regularly with a glass full of cubed ice, deodorize your disposal with lemon or orange peels. |
